    Golf

Thurlestone Golf Course Thurlestone -   The course is located in the beautiful South Hams of Devon and runs along the coast of Bigbury Bay.  The course is a mix of links and cliff-top terrain with the latter providing fabulous views towards Bolt Tail in the East to beyond Plymouth to the West, with the Avon estuary and Burgh Island being the highlight for most people.  The great Peter Allis favourably compared Thurlestone on television with the famous Pebble Beach course in California. Distance: 8 miles. Website: Thurlestone Golf Course
    Bigbury Golf Course

Bigbury Golf Club, possibly the friendliest club in the South West.
Country and full membership is currently available for men, women and juniors at very competitive rates.
A warm welcome also awaits all visitors and societies.

    Distance: 5 miles. Website: http://www.bigburygolfclub.com

    Wrangaton Golf Course

Wrangaton - founded in 1895 on the southern slopes of Dartmoor.  The course is unique - 9 moorland holes and 9 parkland holes.  It’s very much a course of two halves and there is nothing else like it in Devon!  The moorland nine holes offer stunning views of the Devonshire countryside towards the sea 10 miles away and has no bunkers and no trees.  The parkland nine is a complete contrast with its lush fairways bordered by hedgerows and trees.  You really do get two courses for the price of one!

Distance: 3 miles. Website: Wrangaton Golf Course

    Dartmouth Golf Course

Dartmouth - Just minutes from the historical town of Dartmouth and one of Devon's premier golf courses. The two courses at the Dartmouth Golf & Country Club present a challenging contrast; the 18 hole Championship golf course voted within the top 80 golf courses in Great Britain & Ireland is a test for any golfer, whilst the 9 hole Dartmouth course is one not to be missed, and a driving range and other practice facilities for those who wish to practice their golf swing.
